I have had the chance to do a lot of thinking and praying. I just want all of my OCF buddies know that I am no longer going to let cancer steal my joy. I am taking my life back and declaring war. I was able to eat some pudding today for the first time and it went down. Took awhile, but it went down. I am declaring myself cancer free until they tell me otherwise and I am getting on with my life. My goal is to be able to get this PEG tube in a month right after my PET scan March 26 says all clear. I am going to begin enjoying life again. It has taken enough from me, well today I am done allowing it to take anymore from me. I am going to be here to support others in their journey as I have been helped. This place is a true blessing and I am forever greatful.
You go girl! I love you fight and determination. I only hope that if I have a reoccurrance that I can muster even a portion of your strength and resolve.

Tapioca Pudding was one of the first things I was able to get down after the radiation. It's good to see you eating again. It won't be long before you graduate to more complicated foods. Before you know it the list of foods you can't eat will be dwarfed by the list of those you can.
It is great to see the fire in your belly heating up in more ways than one.

Thanks. Sorry I have not been on in awhile, but my family and I took a vacation. Have PET scan april 5th. I am not anywhere close to eat many solids. I have tried mashed potatoes and it just burns my throat. I can do some jello and things that just slide down. They have to be very moist. Still have the PEG and still using it quite a bit. I have moved on and I do not think about cancer all the time. I did get a call from a gentlemen who is trying to start a support group here in my town asked me if I would be interested in helping out. I jumped at the chance. Anyway I may be beginning a new journey in helping others face to face with this stuff. I will certainly spread the word about OCF.
