I have a small early stage lesion inside the mouth. Due to lack of funds/insurance I was treated in a county hospital.

At first they were talking about an MRI but than decided it's not really necessary. Does this make sense and should I trust their opinion or is it undertreatment and an attempt to save money.

I was reading a study that found 4 instances of lesions etc that a CT scan missed while the MRI found.
