Found knot under jaw..... - 07-29-2006 10:06 PM
Hi.....I guess I am here to see if anybody's diagnosis stemmed from a knot under their jaw. I am a CNA and am currently in nursing school so my first thought was to think that maybe I just had a swollen lymph node ( that's what I was wishing anyway ). But I know mine is too far in the middle for it to be a swollen lymph node which leads me back to my original question. I have had some ulcers in my mouth of late off and on but nothing that has stayed any longer than they should have. The site of the lump is tender to the touch but not painful when there is no pressure applied to it. I have noticed the past two to three weeks that my mouth has just really felt sore ....almost like i should have a mouth full of ulcers. My inner buccal area ( inside of cheeks) are sore as well, along with my tounge. I know I need to go get it checked out, but I really had just been passing it off as a stress related occurrence. It has also seemed that here of late I try to talk slower because I can feel the soreness more when I try to say as much as I want as fast as I want(lol)...always getting ahead of myself. The thing about it is that I just quit smoking four days ago. My luck probably not good....shall see. I am a single mother of four....all they have...I have a business degree, and look forward to finishing my associates of nursing. You know...really making things click for us here so we can get things right. I guess I am just really looking for someone to holler at me and say.....no way, you are fine. Thank you to all that relpy.
