Partial Glossectomy. A partial glossectomy is the surgical removal of part of the tongue. The procedure is done to identify suspected or known pathologic tissue and remove it. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia.

My Dr. didn't think the tongue was involved but does diagnosis encompass the floor of mouth? That's where my tumor is located. I was completely caught off guard.
