Hello all,
I am new to this forum although I have been reading the posts for some time.

I would like your views on the below subject:
My left Tonsil seems to be overgrown / inflamed (assymentrical) and although I don't have difficulty in swallowing, it kind of pricks me when I swallow. I have been to 2 ENT doctors and both of them have diagnosed me with LPR. However, I am not sure if LPR can cause any inflamation of the tonsils. My additional symptoms are twitching in base of tongue and throat and also occasional pain in the tongue.

I need your advice if I should ask my ENT to do a biopsy of the inflamed tonsil. I was a smoker for around 7 years (about 100 packs per year) and stopped it around 3 years back.

I need your kind advice.

The only way to confirm or deny cancer is a biopsy, if that is what it's going to take to ease your mind then by all means ask. You've been to two ENT's both with the same opinion so it's obvious that only a biopsy will do it for you.

I agree with Eric. For your peace of mind.
