Brian, you previously mentioned a possible link between HPV 16/18 and oral cancer. I have also read in my research about this possibility, and now I see on the news today a vaccine due out in 2006 to prevent cervical cancer. Have you heard anything on the possibility of this preventing oral cancer recurrence also?

I am not Brian but I do have some input, the vaccine will not "cure" cervical cancer. It must be given at an age before sexual activity begins (before contracting the virus). At this time in girls they are considering a recommended age of 12 - 15.

If this vaccine was to have implications for HN HPV caused cancer then one would assume that it would have to be given before the virus was even in the body.
