Guys I have a very small painless slightly depressed lesion on my hard palate for approax 2 years. It never bothered me. But now from 1 week I am having bad toothache. So I decided to visit the doctor. Since then I have visited 4 experienced ENT specialist. They are definitely not OC specialist but are good ENT surgeons. They all said its nothing to worry about nd gave some medicines. But I am still not convinced and still a lot stressed. So guys any piece of advice will help a lot.

Something to remembers is... any lump, sore or spot that has been in your mouth for more than 2 or 3 weeks that does not automatically resolve itself on its own, needs to be checked by a professional.

You will need to be your own advocate. The toothaches is probably unrelated to the spot, but only a professional can tell you that after an exam. You know your body best and know when somethings not right. I suggest to think about this long and hard then decide either to get it checked or take the 4 ENTs advice. If you have not felt you were listened to after seeing 4 ENTs, could it be possible that the 4 ENT's are correct and its nothing serious? If you feel it needs further checking then find someone to do the biopsy and you will find out what the spot is. The only way to tell for certain what something is would be to have it biopsied. I do not know how your medical system works in your country but here in the US, ENTs do specialize in oral cancer and preform biopsies. You nay need an oral surgeon or dentist? In the US biopsies can be done by any of these professionals.

Hopefully you do not have cancer. Best wishes!

Thanks chtistine for your advice. 2 of the ENT's have asked me to meet next week. May be then i will talk with them about my suspicion.
I need one more advice the spot is there for about more than 2 years it has neither incresed in size nor changed its position. It is totally asymptomatic. So I have kind of feeling its nothing but still the anxiety is making my life hell. So should i totally be dependent on doctors experience or should i force them to have it biopsied?

That is not an easy question to answer! None of us here have medical backgrounds, we are not qualified to tell you what you should do. That said, after getting many different doctors to check your mouth and none "thought" it was anything serious makes this a difficult decision to make. Many oral cancer patients (myself included) had no symptoms at all prior to being diagnosed. Here in the US, I doubt any doctor could be "forced" to do a biopsy. A biopsy is the only way to know for certain to tell you exactly what you are dealing with. I always err on the side of caution. If it were me, I'd ask for a biopsy. But... thats just me and Ive had 3x as many biopsies come back as nothing wrong as those being cancerous. On the other hand, Ive also seen countless people come thru here with the same predicament, unsure of what they should do. At least 90% of them ended up with nothing wrong after getting a biopsy. They know its nothing serious because of the biopsy. Those who opted not to have a biopsy and trust the doctors are probably still sitting there wondering and worrying.

Best wishes with everything, no matter what you decide to do. Please come back and let us know how you make out.
