Radical resection in 1993 followed by radiation. No problems until January of this year when hardware holding my jaw together got infected and infected my jawbone. Many scans, biopsies, doctors and 2 months later it was decided the hardware could probably be removed without shattering my jawbone. Surgery was a success and I had a PICC line for 10 weeks. Still on antibiotics, but now they are oral. Doing well but on a soft-food diet. My blender is my new best friend. But I am lucky to be here and doing so well. God is good!
Wow - glad that the surgery worked so well. Blenders are wonderful inventions!
