well, this is more like a "between treatment" issue.

finished chemo and TX late September. Have been waiting ever since for "healing time" so that I can have a follow up PET scan and a neck dissection.

Got the PET scan Friday, no results yet. ND is scheduled next week regardless of the PET results. Still using the feeding tube in the evenings but having small meals of solid foods during the day.

At this point, I want to get the surgery over with and move on. I was so used to action, action, action my first couple months of treatments, its hard to just wait.

Mark, nice to see you back on the board. My first foods were mashed potatoes and gravy with some ground beef or turkey or scrambled eggs.

Getting a PET in a little over a month is pretty fast. i had to wait a good 3 or 4 months. People have talked of false positives if they do them too soon.

Felt the same way after husband finished his rads.
We were going every weekday and seeing all kinds of Drs and nurses....... it was hard to not do anything.

Healing time is important.
