I was getting 100mg shots every 2 weeks. I stopped the shots but acne on the back remained. I am wondering if it's from something else. I am thinking of trying androderm instead. The Doc seems to prefer androgel as he thinks androderm may cause rashes or something.
1. Has anyone had acne from testosterone treatments.
2. Anyone experienced rashes or other skin problems from the patches.
I use Androderm patches every night and have no side effects or issues with them at all. I occasionally get some skin irritation if I wear a patch too frequently in the same location. But changing locations (you are supposed to rotate them around on the beefy areas of your body) and putting a little OTC cortisone cream on the irritated area for one day makes it go away.
I like the patches because the dose is very regulated, and if you put them on at night before bed, they cycle of the levels in your body really closely approximates the normal ebb and flow of the hormone in your system daily.
No acne here, but I was one of the lucky ones that never got acne...ever really.
I'm a huge fan of androderm other then the patches get bunched up or come off sometimes. The gel was too messy and I worried about contact with my wife and kids. The patches are clean and easy.
Well crap Eric, now I really don't like you... You were one of those guys in high school that always looked good. Not like me with a regular bout of zits right on the end of my beak before prom or whatever. You likely ended up with the cheerleaders too.
