Hi everyone,
Charlie has been out of treatment for almost 6 weeks and he started throwing up again last week and he has a naucous feeling all during the day. The doctors werent concerned. Did anyone else have this problem? He still feeds with the PEG tube and Kangaroo pump at night because now he doesnt feel like eating. He has already put on 10 lbs. I dont want him to loose it!
Could it be his nerves for his upcoming first scans? Is there anything I can do?

Every one of you (patient, survivior, and caretakers) are my heros' and I take each of you with me in my heart during day to day struggles. We have so many warriors on this site!!!

Delia,

I was throwing up, on and off, for months after treatment--I think a lot of it was due to thick phlegm that got stuck in my throat, in combination with a stomach that just never felt too solid, thanks to the prescription pain meds I was taking, as well as queasiness which I think can be just caused by the tube feeding. Once I got off the pain meds, the vomiting pretty much let up, although it had slowly improved before then as well.

Hang in there and have hope. It does get better. Charlie is lucky to have you as his loving caretaker during this.

Delia, maybe if you started called Charlie's doctors at night, they would get more concerned. As with Nelie, the combination of phlegm, pain meds [and not enough water] make John nauseous. Make sure he is staying well hydrated. Amy
