I got my PEG removed and it hurts. How long until the whole closes up?
It should heal up within a week if not sooner. If it continues to hurt you need to talk with your PEG man.

Congrats on your accomplishment. You should be feeling so much better without it, being able to stand up straight and sleep on my belly was a great feeling. It should only be the initial intense pain when it is removed. I agree with Markus, if it continues to hurt then check back with the doc.
How long before I can shower? I forgot to ask that yesterday. I know it was at least 24 hours. Do I need to wait any longer than that?
Angelina I do not want to interfere with what your team says. However, I do not see a reason why you cannot take a shower the same day. Just cover it up with a band aid (plastic ones) and do not spray or scrub the area. Other than that I do not see a problem.
