That's the title of Lance Armstrong's recent book with Sally Jenkins.

Since cancer, Lance has won the Tour de France bike race 5 years in a row... His first book 'It's not about the Bike' is quite good, so i wondered what he would write that would add more to our enlightenment.

the man does more than ride bikes, he communicates very effectively and in this book he talks about living after cancer... regardless of how we respond to treatment.

i'm glad that Lance is active to help cancer folks, he's real.

PS. i made my shake differently this morning. usually soy milk, yogart, powder then sunflower oil... blend.

today: oil, soy milk, yogart, powder. then it seemed to blend more smoothly. a good change.

Three weeks ago I flew to Atlanta to do a one-hour filmed interview with the Lance Armstrong Foundation on survivorship. They have a great organization which after only 2 years has an income of about 14 million dollars a year, and a huge staff of employees making things happen. (That's what being a world class athlete and international celebrity will do for a cause that you pick, sorry folks, you are stuck with me...till I can find that celebrity champion for OCF.) We planed further cooperation between the two foundations (OCF and LAF) in the area of life after cancer, which is the main focus of the LAF. He indeed is a gracious and highly committed individual. He said that the same guy has come in second place the last four times in France, and that was because that particular competitor only trains 6 months out of the year right before the race. Though Lance thinks this guy is a superior cyclist, Lance trains all year long, day in and day out. That is the difference in being number one and number two. Complete focus and commitment. That is also the way that he and others approach beating cancer, with complete focus and commitment to doing everything possible mentally and physically to win.

sooo, its just fine with me that you do the fantastic effort for us and What? you met Lance!!! when will it end?

Lance Armstrong's book was awesome and really raw and also funny in places...a definite read for anyone going through a cancer experience. I actually just read an excerpt out of the book to my nursing students when we were discussing the concept of crisis last week. Lance paints an amazing visual of "diagnosis day" and how your world rotates and spins out of control in about 30 seconds. I'm sure everyone here remembers it well...

As for you Brian, I don't think we're stuck to you-I think it's more like super glue and I am also grateful.
