When they put in a feeder tube can you still take food and liquids by mouth or is it only the feeder tube from now on?

Thank you Nelie. This is such a helpful forum. Could those who had their teeth pulled share if wearing dentures after treatment went ok. With such dry mouth I would think there would be some irritation? I hope the answer is no.

JC - All my teeth were pulled before I started treatment. After considerable consultation I decided to wait nearly two years after the end of treatment to start wearing the dentures. I am really glad I waited. I now have no problems with them.

The dry mouth gets much better with time. The mouth, cheeks and gums really get tortured with the treatment and it really takes quite a while to heal - but they do heal up. Don't risk ORN by wearing dentures too soon. Its a very serious condition and should be avoided at all costs. Be strong - think long-term. Tom
