I just finished treatment for tonsil cancer. Talking to the nurse during treatment, she aked me what I thought caused my cancer. I said I had no proof, but I thought it might have been Halls cough drops. She said thats funny a patient with tounge cancer said the same thing. Is this just a coincidence? Just wanted to know some Opinions.
Thanks
Terry

I was just in the drug store and read the list of ingredients in Halls....there is nothing on the list that is even vaguely associated with malignancies. I can't imagine where you or the other patient got this idea, but my guess is that it is without substance. Even in those things which have known carcinogenic capabilities, the issue of volume of exposure, duration of exposure etc. are major influencing factors in the development of a cancer, linked to a genetic predisposition to get cancer in the first place. Even in tobacco, which is full of HIGHLY carcinogenic materials, the volumes of some of them are very small, so they require long periods of exposure to do their dirty work. If there was a micro element in Halls that wasn't listed you'd probably have to eat a couple hundred of them a day for most of your life to end up with cancer.......
