I have been reading a lot these last few days and have learned so much from all of you. I have learned alot especially from the FAQ forums. One thing I was toying with was the herbal remedies as I have had a few people in my circle friends tell me about some herb that has been healing people of cancer. I just has my husband by it and it cost a lot of money. After reading more, I have come to my senses. I guess you get desperate at times. I told my husband to cancel the order and he said that he couldn't as it already went through. GUess I will use for the next three months along with the medical treatments and not buy it again. I am so thankful that I found this place. YOu all are so awesome and encouraging.

Make sure you check with your doctor before taking them. People used to send stuff like that to my mom and her doc almost had a stroke when he thought she had taken it. Be careful and good luck!

Lost my mother, Minnie, to Oral Cancer October 29th, 2008. I am so thankful she had the OCF to help her through her five year struggle.

Yes let your doctors decide if you should take it. You have already lost the money but that doesn't mean use should use it if it might harm you or mitigate the effect of the real Tx.

Hi, Angelia -
You're right, desperation drives us to run after false hope.
When I got my diagnosis, I wanted a magic remedy - but relying on false hope would have left me little room to fight the real fight - to seek and get the best treatment for my particular case and to be comfortable with the decision I made.
There will be bumps in the road - you are still close to surgery, and your recovery may not be as swift as you would like. But your best news - if it came from your doctors - is that you caught it early.
You came to the right place. People here keep it real, and no one pretends to know more than they know. I also found folks here to be the strongest and most supportive group of people on the planet.
Please don't take any herbal supplements without telling your doctors.
Good luck,
Marlene
