Laura,

I'm wishing your dad the best of news this week, it doesn't seem fair that a person who has taken care of himself, with healthy habits should be hit with cancer. I guess we have to learn that life is not fair and to just deal with what fate throws our way. You sound like a wonderful daughter and caregiver...just be there for him. I'm hoping chocolate cake is just around the corner for both of you. Hang in there!

Laura, I'm sending positive thoughts your way for your father. He sounds like a strong guy so I have no doubt he'll find his way through this.
Nancy, even a person that doesn't excercise all the time or eat the healthiest deserves cancer. A person that smokes 3 packs a day doesn't deserve cancer. Cancer doesn't care how healthy or unhealthy you are.

My Dad ate cake tonight! Ironic....I haven't signed on to this site in months but I did tonight for some reason. I don't remember writing that post regarding the cake thing. Funny that tonight I sign on and it is the first time he has had cake. I was so happy for him I had to fight back tears.
