Lottie:

Im happy to hear your husband is doing better. It takes a while to start getting back to normal. Sometimes it seems to take a very long time. Im sure its very encouraging to have him eating again.

Ive had my peg tube for 1 yr 5 months, which seems like forever. It has served its purpose and got me thru 2 rounds of OC. Very soon it will be removed as will my port. Even with having the peg tube, I only flush it and use it for meds now, Im always hungry. Feels like Im being starved to death. When I get hungry, I need food immediately or I start to feel sick.

There are alot of easy food for your husband to try listed under the eating heading. He may do well with things like scrambled eggs, cream of wheat, milk shakes, cream based soups, mac and cheese, yogurt, pudding, canned peaches. It may take a while for his sense of taste to come back, things might not taste right one day and will be great a week later.

Its day by day progress. He may do great for a few days then revert backwards. Dont get discouraged by that, its all part of the healing process.
