I paid $30 a case at Walgreens and that was a year ago. I had to order 2 cases at a time but from order time to in stock was only a day or two at the most. I once had to get it from CVS and they, after a brief conversation, honored Walgreens price, thinking, of course I would switch my business to them which I didn't.

The last time we picked up a case of it from Walgreens it had gone up. Way up. Times before I had paid 31.14 a case then the ONE time I order it and send mom in for it they wanted to charge her over 50 dollars for it. I called and spoke to the manager playing dumb about the price and he quoted me the same price they did mom.

The best thing to do is to call your pharmacy and ask what the price is before you go in. They let me order it over the phone then come in to pick it up.

One thing was that is was always a pain for them to ring it up because they never could figure out how to do it. I finally started saving my receipts to take in on the next trip. Brian's idea about ordering it online from Amazon sounds like the best bet especially with the advantage it gives to OCF.

True about Walgreens never ringing it up easy. Seemed like every time I picked it up, they would have to get the Manager involved and the manager would have to pull his keys out and scan something and stand on his head and then ask me how much am I paying for it. I soon learned to call ahead and alert them to the special transaction coming and it lessened my register time.

Has anyone tried the pharmacy at Wal Mart? I bet they would bend over backwards to get this and I would imagine it would be as cheap or cheaper than anyone else??

Okay...here's the different prices through Amazon...Why the huge difference? No idea...the low was 29.95 and the high was a tab over 60 dollars...I'm going to go through Amazon and have it delivered to the house. CVS did have a hard time at the register. Nobody new what it was...and they did quote me 36 then upping it to 60 when I went to pick it up...I got it at 36.50 but had to fight for it. And I'll be sure to access Amazon though the OCF search engine...Thanks for the reminder Brian.

Just start you entry into Amazon by clicking in the Amazon box on the list of forums page or the front page of the main web site EACH TIME you go there. After that you will be tagged on that visit as an OCF referral and we get our few cents. Thanks for doing it that way.

The manager at the local Rite aid was charging me $27 per case. Them my Ins took over for 3 orders then decided It wasn't a necessity even after we argued for a week with my Dr helping me out. Tried rite aid again and the manager then was transfered. I just mix up a mess and like the hogs at a trough dive right in . LOL I have put on 5 lbs.

I've put the OCF button to Amazon in my Bookmarks so I won't forget! Scroll to the bottom of page:

http://www.oralcancerfoundation.org/

Or use this one:

http://www.oralcancerfoundation.org/products/books.htm

I ordered VHC through OCF/Amazon and it cost

Subtotal of Items: $29.95
Shipping & Handling: $8.95
---------
Total for this Order: $38.90

from Allegro Medical

The nearest Walgreens is a bit of a drive from me, however I will check with the local Rite Aid.

Jim, if you still have a receipt, would you look up the Rite Aid stock number?

My Rite Aid's order catalog (paper!!) only lists two flavors of Carnation Plus which has only 375 cal/can.

Pete,

Remember it's Carnation Instant Breakfast VHC, not Plus. You may be able to call Nestle, Product Information, 800-333-3785 option #1 and they may be able to tell you what number Rite Aid uses. That's how I got Walreens to order for me back in the day. BTW did you see that Nestle on line now charges $49.99 a case!!

Pete,

Not knowing if you guys have phones out there, I went ahead and did some leg work for you. I called the number above and initially was told that they couldn't help me except to place an order. I told them "no thanks" since it was odd that the Mfg would have the highest on line price of anyone!! She said she couldn't comment on their pricing policies. LOL I then got her super who actually gave me a couple of numbers for you to try since they are Washington State numbers 3 hours behind me. These are the sales reps from the Seattle area as I could only guess what beach you might comb??

Good luck
