Has anyone heard of someone with mets to the liver from Tonsil cancer. I've had a an Ultrasound and CtScan showing 2 small and 1 large tumor on the liver. I'm waiting to do a biopsy. The original pathology was a baseloid type cell of Scc. I can't seem to find any information about this. I need to bring myself up to date. So I can do the talk and do the walk! Thanks, Tom Roussell

This is possible. Oral cancer does not take lives by what it does in our mouths, it is the metastasis of the disease to vital organs that is where the danger lies. Please remember that distant mets, while dangerous, are not necessarily incurable. This could also be a new primary. How did the liver lesions get noticed and what other symptoms do you have?

The only symptom so far,is a hard feeling,(a mass) between the breastbone just beneath the diaphram. Ultrasound showed abnormalties on the liver and a CtScan showed 3 tumors. With a biopsy we'll know whether its a Primary or Secondary. Still waiting to to get in for that as the biopsy is done with an Ultrasound and assisted by a Radiologist and a Doctor, in case of bleeding. I would like to hear from a survivor of this. I figure that no matter the stage or type of cancer someone has survived! That's what makes these forums so important the sharing of experience! I Thank You All. Tom Roussell
