I've been out of pocket this past week and am very sorry to hear about your mother; as you say, she's probably having a brandy and looking forward to Saturday's gathering. Words are simply inadequate...Godspeed.

To Sue and your family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have been reading posts for a long time and was always inspired by your mother's writings to others. She had insights without preaching. I finally got some courage to put myself out there and post my thoughts & fears. Brenda took the time to respond on 1/29 without talking at all about herself- I've been thinking about her words ever since (and now even more)
Here is what she wrote:

"Don't focus on the 'should have done' stuff.
Start NOW making a list of what you HAVE done--you'll be amazed at how long, full and important it is--working, bringing up kids, being a spouse, looking after a house, giving support and comfort to other people in times of need--includes small child with scraped knee!--to ringing/visiting parents or even grandparents."

I see now that she had a long, full and important list of her own. My thoughts are with you.
Fran

I am so sorry to hear of Brendas passing. I dont get on here as much as I used to and when I posted the other day I didnt even look at the rest of the board. Brenda was a great lady who helped me through a lot and I will miss her deeply.

May the good Lord be with her family at this time of grieving.

Brenda was a wonderful, kind, courageous woman. I have delayed in posting my condolences to Branda's family, it has been difficult for me to put into words my saddness on her passing. She was truly amazing facing such adversity with wit and dignity. Brenda will be missed by many. Her encouraging words will live on.

I went to an Odyssey of the Mind Competition on Sat ... And in the one Skit ( put on by kids ) the kid spoke in a british accent... It brought tears to my eyes as it reminded me of Brenda, She was an amazing woman !! and I think of her daily in my work with children with Autsim , her and I spoke about this before I made my decision to go back as this is what we both do .

I will miss her dearly , daily and forever ........
