Well, I thought it was over...This morning I woke and under my chin to the left (which is opposite side from before)I felt a lump.

I emailed the Dr. to see what he wantsa to do. I don't think I can do this again guys...no energy for it. Please pray for me.
Thx

Ann Marie,

Go and get someone to look at it. In the mouth or head and neck region, any lump, bump, discoloration, abnormal feeling or looking spot, and/or unusal feeling that does not resolve on its own in 10 - 14 days should be investigated.

It could also be nothing. Remeber it's not cancer until the biopsy says so.

I'm sure if you have to that you can and will do it again. I know you don't want too.

My thoughts and Prayers are with you.

Be strong.

Mike

I'm just so tired Mike frown

Today was the first I noticed it. I check everyday. Why I didn't feel something yesterday is beyond me.

I had to go through this alone last time and emotionally it drained me.

Thank you 4 the encouragement smile

Ann Marie,
You have me and everyone else on this site in your corner now. You are no longer alone unless you choose to be. Please use us, rely on us and ask questions.
If you place your thumb from your left hand on the lump and your index finger from your right hand under your tongue can you feel the lump? Does it hurt? Is it sort of soft or hard? Does it move easily? Approx. how big is it, BB marble or gumball? How close to your chin is it?

Answer these questions and I may be able to shed a little light on the subject.

Thinking about you.

Cheers,

Mike

Ann Marie,

From a caretaker (A tough love one)

You get one day to be tired.
That was yesterday, now get to the DR.

The fact you haven't felt it before is probably a positive. We just underwent a biopsy for a lesion on the tonsil.
Came back clear. Know how you felt, zombywalked the day we were told the lesion was found.
Turned out to be irritated tissue.

Get on your combat boots and see the DR.
You can do it!

It could just be a swollen lymph gland from an infection. Don't jump to conclusions too fast (easy for me to say huh?). But do get it checked out.

Hi Anne Marie,

If it's any help, I too felt a lump under my chin about 8 weeks ago. I must admit that I was deeply, deeply moved at the time, quite unexpectedly so (I thought this entire experience had hardened me to such a possible eventuality, but it just isn't so).

Anyway, I had a routine visit with my RO that very day, and he thought it was just the remnant of a saliva gland. I was told to watch it for any growth, then see him in a month (or earlier if there was any change).

Well, it didn't change, so I'm off the hook (at least for now).

So, I share your feeling of being emotionally drained at such a discovery. Hopefully you can steel yourself until you get it checked out.

Best wishes,

Chris

Anne Marie,

Please listen to the folks above...you can drive your self crazy. I've been back to the ENT twice for lumps/bumps. Make an appointment and go get it checked out. In the mean time I'll keep you in my prayers.

Donnarose,

I really appreciate you keeping me in your praayers. Thank You

I did talk with my ENT Dr. and he told me to make an appointment. He said it could be fluid, but wants to make sure it's not a lymph node.

I'm waiting to hear back with an appointment date.
