After 4 months, I finally have no more appointments for chemo--(last one had to be missed because of low blood counts)
So now I get on with 'Living with Cancer'/Dying from Cancer' as it was only palliative anyway!

It feels like a huge weight has been removed from my shoulders in spite of poor prognosis because I at least 'gave it a go' and yes, it did impact on my life, tho not in the way I imagined.

I wasn't sick, didn't lose my hair, only spent 10 days out of 4 months feeling 'seriously weak'.

But hadn't accounted for the stress caused by low blood levels of various sorts, the changed appointment days and times, the collapsed veins, the need to eat at prescribed times to take the anti-sickness meds, the need for blood transfusions and the way life becomes dominated by appointments etc., and keeping friends and relatives up to speed, and wording emails/adopting 'phone-tone' according to other people's perceptions of me and of cancer in general.

Have broken out the champagne tonight as no blood tests for another 2 weeks!!!! and feel so much more relaxed!

Compared with what others are going through, my 'stuff' is peanuts, I know, but just thought it might help other 'terminal' cases to know sometimes it's crap, but seldom evil, and I still so appreciate the quality of life I have 9 months on from first symptoms smile
