Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 4,912 Likes: 52 | Some new features have been added to the message board and you will notice them as you use it, but one which you may miss is the new directory function. It is located at the very top of the forums page with "my profile, search, faq, and forum home". You can see here who is posting, and some information from their profiles, as well as search the membership for a variety of things like those who are survivors or family members, number of total posts, and much more. (Some of you may wish to go in and add information to your profiles, which can be accessed and updated with the "my profile' link in the same area.) Please note that for some of you who have reached the remarkable "Above and Beyond" category of 200 plus posts, the actual number of posts does not show your first 50 posts. This is a bug in the software. But the system did count them or it wouldn't have assigned you that new title.

Since signing in for this site I have found it to be infomative and user friendly. The other sites I have been on, and continue to access are not as comforting to go to. I found the directory is a good way to find out who is who and what their status is. I had a hard time finding a site that fit my particular cancer until I found this one, even though my cancer was in a different location than most. Thanks.

Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 234 | Brian, I believe that one of the hotter topics is of course the PEG tube and returning to normal eating and eating solutions. Another thread that would be helpful would be one that deals with the emotional aspects of oral cancer both from the patient and the caregiver view points. Guess, I'm on a roll here. I also think that one that points to products and solutions would be great. It was through this site that I found out about the "Jaw Bra" when I had my bone transplant surgery.
