Brett,

Great news man. Wonderful!!! Good job.

I am doing the same thing at U of C 6/6 (4 months out). I am hoping for the same results but I am really happy to read some good news on this site.

P.S. Can anybody out here tell me if they new they were having a reaccurance prior to the diagnosis? Did you feel anything? Have a cough? Have a lump? whatever. Just curious.
Robert

Brett,

This is really awesome news. I am so happy for you. Please, please don't feel bad about sharing your good news. It really makes me feel better hearing some good news for a change. There has been some "hard to hear" news lately, but unfortunately it is a reality.

I couldn't be happier for you!!! PTL

Hey Dan. I didn't feel as if I offended you. It was a shock to me to read your news and it saddened me a great deal, so it was hard to feel happy at the moment I made my post. I'm pulling for ya and I hope the note I sent to you privately was helpful.

To everyone else, thank you so much for responses. It takes guts just to get through the experience of cancer and it's treatment. It takes guts plus a HUGE heart to come back to this forum day after day to help those who come after you. You're awesome folks.

Thank You Brett,

I did find the reading useful. What have I got to lose? I've always said I'll try anything once,

Robert,
To answer your question...Dan woke up with a swollen gland which the oral surgeon felt sure was an infection...long story short it was a very aggressive tumor in his neck. Not to panic, but any kind of gland that feels swollen...get an opinion or two asap.
Thanks,
Deb
