A friend of mine is currently undergoing radiation treatments to the neck (she has had several precancerous nodes removed from her throat, but a few were inoperable). She is just starting with her treatments and her only problem right now is very dry skin on her face. Do any of you have any hints for creams she can use to alleviate the dryness and burning?
I've pointed her towards our site so she'll have a good resource as her treatments continue.
Thanks! Jennifer

It work for me, i still have one treatment out of 33, they are using IMRT directed directly toward my front lower part of my face and i am pretty sure that the cream help me. I began after about 10 treatment taking it once a day.
It still look like a pretty good tan on one part of my face but no burn and a bit dry.

She might ask about it. I use it three times a day and wash it off and pat my neck dry in the morning before I leave for treatment.
They also reccomend using a soap with moisturizers such as Dove, Oil of Olay or Caress extra moisture. Never wash hard, never leave soap residue and pat day/ never rub. Of course when in the sun I use a full spectrum sunscreen which is SPF 30 or higher.
I hope she fines something before her neck gets to burned and sore. Blessings to you both, Barb~
