OK, guys we were at Dana Farber yesterday, Packer`s sinus tumor has grown, but even though he had full course of radiation 5 yrs ago, they will be able to do stereotactic, which was explained to me as more precise than IMRT........so, has anyone had any experience with it..........As far as Packer, he`s dealing with a lot of pain, eye problems and swelling. The plan is to do another MRI and map him for radiation and start the following week, possibly for 5 weeks..no prognosis, since they don`t know tumor will react, but as you guys all know, Packer remains positive.........I`m working on stable for myself........Dee

My thoughts are with both you & Packer Dee.
That positive attitude can take Packer a long way!!! Don't know anything about that type of radiation so will wait for someone to post who does. God Bless you Both!!!! Dan

Hi Packer and Dee,

My thoughts are always with you both as you travel through this journey. One does not know where it will lead you but you are never alone...remember that.

We have seen so many issues as we continue on this journey with Linda, we never know what the next corner will bring, but we are there to hold her hand and help her get around it whatever it may be, we are always ready as she has been. I have never seen so much strength and determination, and the courage...amazing...I tell you...

Linda will be joing you at Dana this Thursday. For another opinion or two. I hope that one day you two can meet. You both have a lot in common and can relate to each other. Dee we all should meet with you so that we can lean on each other just to know that we have a friend close.

God Bless and Take Care,
Flo wink xox

Hi, Flo, well I`m really hoping to be in Boston by the end of the week for MRI and radiation mapping.......maybe we will meet........you`ll probably be meeting with 3 docs, surgeon, chemo, and radiation.......Head and Neck Cancer is on the 11th floor, and they even have coffee! I like anything free! Soon as I find out when we`ll be there, I`ll let you know..........Many prayers to Linda and her family....Love, Dee

Hi Dee & Packer:

OKAY, SO THIS IS A LITTLE SILLY, BUT DID YOU NOTICE THAT THE ROOT WORD OF "STABLE" IS "ABLE"? YOU BOTH DEFINE THE TERM AND MAKE US AT OCF PROUD OF YOUR BRAVERY IN THE FACE OF EACH NEW CHALLENGE.

WITH POM-POMS WAVING,

Kim

Update on Packer and the blithering idiot...we`re off to Boston again on thurs. and Fri.......this time we`ll be at beth Israel, I`ll soon be able to write a tour guide to hospitals.......also found out treatment will start next week, so there`s a big scramble to find housing, I`m really thankful that there is so much support at Dana Farber........Packer is a nervous wreck, he doesn`t like change,I know once he`s settled he`ll be ok.........I`m starting to feel Like the CEO of a company and need a personal secretary to handle some of this stuff for me !!!
