Yesterday a CT revealed that my TUMOR has shrunk 40 to 50% and the nodes/tumors in my chest are not showing up at all.... I was given little or no hope of this chemo working, shrinkage, wow.. who knows I might even see another remission... I have 3 more month of treatments, then hopefully the chokin and pukin will be over....

taxotere and cistplatin. I don't know the amount of each infusion, but they are 28 days apart and my Oncologist says he wants at least 6 infusions, i've had three so we will look at the tumor again in July....... I give the credit to God and prayer. My church family has been behind me 100% ever since the original cancer diagnosis. and now since I have been back in treatment for metestatic disease, I think every church in this county has me on a prayer list not to mention family and extended family....

Darrell,

Congrats on your chemo results!

I hope you aren't offended but I have this sick sense of humor... Your "hoping and choking and puking" made me think of an old song "and after you do, you will be his." I know you aren't hoping and choking and puking for a boyfriend... please forgive me if I have offended you but I about spewed my coffee all over the screen when that old song went through my head.

I am very sincerely happy for you!
Lisa

Darrel, Thats such great news! I hope you start feeling better...I was wondering if you or anybody knew if they can remove a tumor after its been shrunk with the chemo/rad TX? My husband has BOT like you(his is a T4) and has just finished TX. Now I'm sweating waiting for the scans in 12 weeks to see if the tumor is gone and just want to be prepared if we are faced with any decisions or options(or maybe there are none). Was your tumor completly gone after your first TX? I feel I can't ask these questions at the MO visits with my husband there because I don't want to sound negative but I also want to be prepared. Thanks...Kerry
