Only 18 days since my original post and he is gone. Those were the longest 18 days of my life. He was so swollen by the end he could no longer see. We all held his hand, talk to him but mostly we all just sat with him and listened to the Beatles it is amazing what music can do. I'm gratefull he is no longer suffering and I will miss him. Thank you all for your replies, unfortunately he didn't experience that surge of energy we were hoping for.

Deneen,

I want to express my sympathy to you and his family.I lost my sister in law on Jan.30th and these have been the hardest weeks of my life.I wish I could find some magic words of comfort but I can't.There is nothing anyone can say to take away the pain.I do wish you all peace to know that his suffering is over and may god bless you all.

Hey Maureen,
This is Minnie from Va. Beach, Cindy's friend. I just knew when I saw the name that it was you posting on here. Glad you found the site, I talk to Cindy about it all the time. Sorry to lose track of the thread guys. Maureen is a friend of my closest friend here in Virginia. We finished treatment about the same time and have talked via email the past few months. Welcome Maureen!
