JR,

Welcome to the neighborhood! It sounds like you are doing everything you should. I wish she had done the biopsy because it would have given you a bit of peace anyway. The good news...it is not cancer until they can prove it and that sounds like your October 4th surgery. Rest easy now and eat well since there is nothing you can do until after the surgery.

Thanks Ed! I really appreciate the input!

She said that a Biopsy then would have put me in allot of unnecessary pain. I guess the way it is situated. I had my CT scan and will have the results on Wed, I'll post what they are. Thats all for now I hope you have a pleasant day.

Had my pre-op today with CT results. The PA said that the CT scan report is pretty much a normal CT scan, all but the pointed bump in my tonsil. They said the bump doesn't appear to be deeply inbedded and is localized to that area. They don't think it is a cancer but are going to remove it to get a complete diagnosis. They haven't seen a lump quite like mine before. They said a tonsillectomy should completely resolve the matter.

They said it was good news. I tend to agree but will feel allot better after it is removed and tested.

After doing allot of research I think it could be an elongated Styroid Process becuase it is so pointed. Anyone ever had a pointed lump in their tonsil?

My sergury is on the 4th, I'll post the results.

JR, it sounds like an alien to me laugh Did you ever fall asleep in your car, alone, out in the Everglades?? No?? Just joking!

But maybe the docs are right & it is just an elongates styroid process, whatever that is.

Great news indeed! Life is sweet! Candace
