Hello to all. I don't know yet how much time I will spend here but the site already looks very interesting. I've had a tumor removed from the base of my tongue and am currently starting my second week of radiation and chemo on Monday. I'll check around the site after work.

Welcome to the Oral cancer Foundation Hap!! You won't find a more informative site on oral cancer then here. Post any question you have on oral cancer and someone with similier treatment will respond.
Hoping your treatment goes well without many side effects.

All My Best, Danny Boy

Welcome Hap! Glad your hear, sorry you had to be. Let us know how you're doing from time to time even if you don't spend much time here. You are going into some rough times ahead. Keep yer chin up & stay as positive as you can. Oh yeah, and fight like hell! Erik

Thanks for your comments. Right now I'm working and feeling just fine except for the discomfort of the G tube that was put in Wednesday. Second week of radiation starts on Monday and my weekly chemo will be on Tuesday. I hope the best for all of you.

goodmorning Hap, Hang in there my friend, If you are able to continue working that is very cool, however be prepared to stop, this dreaded disease and treatment can deliver can deliver a big "uppercut", that being said you just get back up and continue the fight. You are in good company here and you will find that you are drawn back to this site time and time again, for answers to your questions and unfortunatley a wise old sage ,when it comes to oral cancers, answering questions and offering support. hang in there, Hope to see you around this site.

Hap:
I think you will find a lot more answers here than in the doctors office.
Good luck;
Darrell
