Welcome to OCF! Im very sorry you have the need to use our services.
Here is a link to the main OCF pages where there is page after page of info to help better understand how OC is treated, including side effects.
Treatment Info from main OCF pages Not all patients respond in the same way to treatments, medications, procedures etc. Some patient sail right thru everything while others struggle from their first day. If doing rads, intake is a huge factor of how easily a patient will get thru it. The patients who focus mainly on their intake and every single day take in at least the minimum have it easier. The minimums are at least 2500 calories and 48-64 oz of water daily.
I would suggest getting a second opinion (at a Comprehensive Cancer Center if possible). While a doctor may suspect a tumor is cancerous, it takes a pathologist to read the biopsy to know for certain what it is. At A CCC they will use a team based approach where all the specialists work together on each 'case'. They are all on the same page when a treatment plan is made.
Best wishes with everything.
