Greetings people: I'm Billy, just turned 48 and from Glasgow,Scotland but writing this from Dubai in the U.A.E. I'm a survivor, so far that is, of an encounter with oral C in 2000. Diagnosed T4 N0 and operated on virtually immediately. Got a fair chunk of pelvis in my mouth and a real fancy scar to prove it. Going to get teeth implants and perhaps have the titanium plate removed. Eight weeks after leaving the hospital in Scotland 5 years ago I was working in Indonesia, then Azerbaijan then Norway and now in The Emirates. Looking forward to more travels and a healthy life. No more smokes for me, no sir....

Hi Billy
I am from Dunoon, but now live in Georgia.
I was just home for Cowal Games.
Nice to meet you, are you working on the rigs?
You did not mention, but did you get any Chemo or radiotherapy ?
Congratulations on your 5 year anniversary.

Hi Billy,

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your 5 year anniversary.

Implants are wonderful. We've been doing them for years in my office and have had a tremendous response from our patients.

Good luck and keep on traveling and enjoying life.

Many thanks to all of you for your kind words. If any of you happen to be over here in my part of the world then plese let me know and perhaps we can meet up for a wee chin-wag.
Heading to China in October for 10 days to whack a wee white ball round a pretty green field.
Cheers,
Billy
