I have had three excisions since January 2014 of a prune-sized granulation tissue next to the tongue (partial glossectomy for oral cancer 15 years ago, followed by radiation). Wound site is getting smaller each time, but it doesn't heal properly - leading to granulation re-growth. Silver nitrate applications were done on several occasions, pre- and post-operative. Any suggestions on how to stop this cycle? Thank you.
Partial glossectomy - 1998/1999 Radiation to mouth - 1999 Seven biopsies / all negative - to present Osteoradionecrosis - 2011 to present 30 HBO dives Granulation - 2013-2014 [Treated surgically 3x; followed by pure alcohol injections weekly over a 2 1/2 month period; under general anesthesia; smaller, but still an issue, summer 2014

Im sorry you have some on-going after effect issues. Radiation... the gift that keeps on giving.
Those silver nitrate sticks are just awful!!! Ive had that done many times myself and its indescribable. I was going to suggest HBO but I see you have already done that. HBO helps promote healing and is especially helpful in patients who have had radiation.
Im sorry but I cant think of any other ways to get this to heel. Hopefully in time it will heel.
