Wow,
thank you so much Bart,Cheryl, Christine, Leslie and Anne Marie. Great information. I have now some very good information to show Tim. I looked at some of the webpages of the CCC's that Christine let me in on and the nearest ones of San Diego and UCDavis look pretty stringent on their inablitiy to help someone without insurance, although I have not called the billing personel yet. The MDAnderson in Texas offers a program if your a Texas resident. So, if I can just get Tim to authorize me to speak with his doctors and then locate a CCC near Nevada that will work with us (he has no insurance) then well be on a game plan. Does anyone know about the upcoming Obamacare insurance deal? Are we all supposed to have enrolled in insurance by 2014? And if thats the case, would a CCC then be able to see him? I sure appreciate all of you.

greg

I would suggest to do your own research on the Obamacare insurance. To me, it seems a bit complicated. Not a one size fits all type thing (like it was supposed to be) where each individual would need something different. I kinda thought that it was supposed to be simplified but to me its a big headache to understand. But then again, Im not the best with all that insurance stuff.

Insurance coverage obtained through the Affordable Care Act's health-insurance exchanges in each state is effective as of Jan. 1, 2014, so presumably wouldn't cover any doctor visits or treatments before that date.

Greg, here's a link to a web-site designed to help you figure out where you want to be under the ACA (aka Obamacare).

http://www.getcoveredamerica.org/about-us/

I can't say much (anything) about the quality of the help offered, I just found it and offer it for whatever use it might prove to be.

Good luck,

Bart
