But no one has answered the topic of this thread. How long did the effects last for you?
I'm 3 weeks out and am still expierencing side effects and being direct with someone like saying this side effect took this long to clear up and this side effect took this long to clear up can give someone hope.

John, for my husband John things started to get a little better about 4 - 6 weeks out of treatments. Everyone is different and my husband was 55 and not 25 when he went through treatments. I don't know what you do for a living but you can't be terminated because you are legally covered because of your cancer.
My husband is 12 weeks out of treatment, he is experiencing severe sore throat, thick gagging mucus, can't sleep, extreme fatigue. Does anyone have advice or tips on how to get him through this phase? Thank you, Callie.
Sore Throat...never had much of that during or post Tx.

Thick Gagging mucus....appx 2 weeks.

Can't sleep...never experienced this but it could be associated with post Tx depression which can take on many faces and perhaps one needs to see a specialist.

Fatigue...never experienced fatigue but in a previous post I recommended getting a blood test for TSH to see if the thyroid has been damaged. I did experience extreme weakness, like weak as a new born kitten, for a good 4 months or so post Tx.
