Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 711 | Linda is home and doing very well. Unfortunately she remembers the horrible stuff in the hospital and feels terrible about it. I was rather hoping she wouldn't remember. Well she's home now and we still love her, actually all the more. It was not Linda who did and said those things.
David R. 65 yr old male non-smoker, light drinker, stage 3 or 4, depending on which doc you ask, scc rt. tonsil, 2 nodes, 7 weeks radiation and chemo. No surgery. Teatment ended 3/20/08. PET scan 8/08 showed no cancer.
And now, as of oct, 2010, caregiver to wife, Linda, with breast cancer.
May, 2013, Linda diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Enuf already.

Julieann Nov 2007 SCC on right tonsil following tonsillectomy. Was smoker, QUIT. (Stage IV T2 N2b) 7 weeks radiation one day/wk chemo (carboplatin and 5-FU). Allergic to Taxol; PEG in, lost 30 lbs. Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 711 | I never did get a straight answer from anyone about just what went on. I'm definetly not the litigious type but thinking of talking to a lawyer. Linda, not to mention Michael and myself, should never have been put through all that and without any kind of explanation pretty much pisses me off. But, she does seem to be feeling better now than she has in a while so I'm happy about that.

I think you do deserve some kind of explanation for Linda's reaction which caused so much pain for all of you! - Even if it's just so you can prevent it from happening again to your family or to anyone else's.

Erbitux x 11 completed 9/11. IMRT x 30 completed 8/11.
3 month MRI and PET/CT all clear.
6, 9, 12 and 24 month post treatment MRIs all clear.
