I am so lucky and thankful to say "almost 10 years out" I had SCC of my left tonsil, 3 positive lymph nodes and 6 weeks of radiation. I Still need a water bottle in my hand most of the time and I bolus most foods I eat with warm liquids. I eat just about anything I want except spicy foods and alcohol. I do drink an occasional guinness, as that doesnt seem to burn.
I recently had a injury at work where I snapped my neck backwards and since have had pain in my jaws both sides. Also the nerves seem to be on fire in my neck and shoulder more than ever before. My ENT has recommended I get baseline MRI of my jaw bones and nerves as I age.I will be 60. Anyone else having these problems as we survivors age?

Neuropathy seems to be spreading and getting worse (But I was told the alternative (Meds) was just as bad side effect wise)! Still have a bad case of Lock Jaw but it hasn't seemed to be getting worse. I have expanded my diet a lot in the last 4 years (Thank Goodness) and I do seem to have some "Moments" with sharp pains in my mouth/neck every now and then. Overall, like you, I'm thankful, every day!!!!! Congrats on 10 Years.
