Hi,

I'm from Hong Kong, and I have been viewing this forum for quite the past month, and decided that I want to be a member in here

My mother was Dx with tongue cancer on 14 Feb 2011. I thought that it was the worst day of my life....

The doc was great, they arrange all the test and surgery right away, and my mother was wheeled into the operation theatre a week later. The surgery last for 14 hours, and she was on breathing machine for the first day post-op.

Exactly one month later, the whole family went to see a RO with her, and was being told that no rad is needed. That means her Tx is now finished.

She did struggle a lot during the course of her Tx, but what is more important is that she finally made it. Even though she still have a lot to learn, she win the battle for now.

For those who is still in the battlefield, keep on fighting, you will win this battle.

Michelle, I'm so glad to read that your mother came through that very difficult surgery and is doing well! Please keep us posted on her progress.

Thanks, David R X 2

I'm really glad that I found OCF when I was all lost, and didn't know a thing about the enemy.

My mother has improved a lot, her eating and swallowing is improving, and that she is now interested in food again. I think the most important thing is that her spirit is good. She is all hopeful now.
