My husband had a section of his colon removed because of a cancerous polyp. The surgery and recovery were easy compared to what we have all gone through. (You could compare it to having a bad tooth removed). As you know the followup of repeated colonoscopies is not pleasant but a person can live without part of a colon or even the entire colon.
I am praying that you will have a good outcome and not need further treatments.
