Hi All,
I've been lurking for a couple weeks now. It's great to see the support you have all provided to eachother.
Completed my second neck resection 2 weeks ago and have my first appointment with my RO tomorrow. Well, second actually - the first time I met him before my initial surgery he had said it was premature for us to meet and that I didn't need radiation - really hoping he says the same thing tomorrow but know that's highly unlikely!
I think I have a distinct disadvantage/advantage here - I am a speech pathologist and have worked with Pt's with HNCa- HATE that I am now a Pt myself but I am comforted to see that I am in very good company.
I imagine some of us will become friends here.

Hello Jenslp:
Isn't it great to have a place like this to correspond with others? I can't remember how I found the Forum almost 3 years ago, but from the start, members offered suggestions, sympathy, concern, and their experiences. To me, it was almost as valuable as going to a doctor. I do hope you have good results today and please let us know. We all care for each other.

Welcome aboard this great family and our home. I'm sure you will become friends with a lot of people here as many of us have. Good luck with whatever you might or might not have to go thru. My best friends are here and always available to give advice.

I should have added how sad it is to become friends and some have to leave for their trip to heaven. It feels just as it does when a close family member passes.
