Sounds like your husband is in total denial. PLEASE go to a cancer center and talk to a Doctor about your situation. This is nothing to mess around with....it's life or death. If this has been going on since January, that's 9 months ago. I don't want to scare you, but you don't want to wait any longer. Keep coming back here. We're all here to support you.
Hugs,
Shelley

I don't think you husband is qualified to say you don't have cancer. You need to seek another opinion before you end up dead. | | | | Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 7 Administrator, Director of Patient Support Services Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) | Administrator, Director of Patient Support Services Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 7 | Lisa, I want to explain that you can be very ill and not know it. During the summer of 2009, I felt great. I was active and finally getting back to my old pre cancer self. I had a biopsy done at the hunch of the physician's assistant in my ENTs office. I never for a second thought I was sick. I completed a 25 mile bike ride. The very next day I was told I am a stage IV oral cancer patient. It was the third time I had cancer in 3 years.
Please run to the nearest cancer center and get treated!!!! You have already put this off too long, get moving!!!! Here at OCF we are trying to look out for your best interests. Please help yourself be around if not for yourself, for your family. They need to understand that a person doesnt always show signs of being sick even when they are very ill.
This is a post that you can print out and leave lying around where your husband or sons will see it. You need to get started right away so its easier to treat. She wanted me to wait at LEAST a year before getting dentures, but I ignored her and got dentures just so I could go out in public. But I really can't wear them very long or eat with them very well. I just wear them to go to bingo or whatever and take them out when I get home because she was probably right and my gums won't really be ready for dentures until January - I finished treatment last January. So I wouldn't really suggest hurrying like I did 'cause it's not working for me. Thank goodness I did get a dentist who will make adjustments for me for a year free of charge so hopefully they'll be okay some day.
