I was shopping at the local supermarket yesterday and spotted a product I hadn't seen before. It's called OraMoist and it,s a lozenge that adheres to the roof of the mouth and moistens for about 4 hours. Tried them out and they really work. Made by Qyuantum Health and you can order them from their website if you can't find them in a store near you.

I will be ordering some when I get paid on the 15th. I sure hate getting paid only once a month.

Just trying to help out my friends who have the same or even worse dry mouth problems I have. I don't need to be paid to do whatever I can. Hope this works for others as well as it does for me.

Hi. I'm Al Toman. I battled T4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma in 2007. It originated in my right sinus, took out my right cheekbone, hard palate, upper right jawbone and 6 teeth. Then it migrated into the left side of my neck lymph nodes. After radiation treatment I was left with permanent chronic dry mouth. I tried every remedy out there including some stuff from Germany because it was hard to get here in the U.S.

Nothing worked. So I decided to do something about it. I created the a Dry Mouth Pump and it turned my life around 180 degrees. The Dry Mouth Pump is a small portable device that continuously wets the mouth keeping the mucous membrane moist. I can now sleep the entire night. I can speak at length and I can now rake the leaves or exercise without lifting a bottle of water.

Maybe it can work for you maybe not but it sure changed my life around. Cancer is bad enough but the effects of the treatment for cancer can be as bad. I now found a treatment for dry mouth that really works and can't be happier.

Welcome to OCF Al. I looked up your product and found that it was not FDA approved for a medical device yet. Here is an exerpt from your website.....

NOTICE!
We are awaiting FDA Medical Device Notification. In the meantime you can purchase the pump at ********.com.

The medical device notification permits us to label the pump as a medical device to receive insurance reimbursement IF your insurance company (or Medicare) will provide reimbursement.

We anticipate FDA Medica Device Notification within the 4th quarter of 2010 or the first of the year 2011 depending on FDA's schedule.

Visit us at ********.com.

At OCF links to promote your products are not allowed (read terms of agreement when you signed onto the boards) so it was not included in the copy/paste from your site. I am also one of the biggest skeptics on here, and hate to see marketing on this site since it is to help people, not sell them something. Perhaps your device will help. Promoting a commercial product here is a matter for the people that run OCF to determine the appropriateness of BEFORE you promote it here. I suggest that you contact them.

These forums are open to all oral cancer patients and their families that support them. From the profile that you have posted, you clearly fit that. But promotion of your product on our web site in the forums or anywhere else where we discuss products, is something that you need to discuss with the staff at OCF BEFORE you do it. The foundation has a responsibility to those that come here to see that things that are promoted, (and there are tons from alternative treatments to toothpaste) have been reviewed by either the OCF staff or where appropriate signed off on my the advisory board of doctors that monitor the foundation's actions and recommendations. Until such time you are welcome here to share you experiences and knowledge with those on this path behind you, but you must not use the boards for commercial promotion, even if your product is the second coming, the formality of this is what keeps these forums free from the many many people trying to sell something to this demographic of people, products which some are not appropriate, or even harmful. This policy is what separates these forums from the free for alls that you can easily find around the web.

If money is as tight for you as for me, before you buy it, you should know that so far Oral Moist has not gotten rave reviews here at OCF except for this post. Take a look at this thread oralMoist If after reading the negative reviews, you still want to buy it, it's apparently available at Walgreen's and DavidCPA ordered it right from his Albertson's CHEAPER THAN ON QUANTUM HEALTH'S WEB SITE.
I'd give you my opinion, but my surgery for the recurrence cured my dry mouth permanently since I am constantly awash in saliva and mucous which in other people are silently and unconsciously swallowed.
I did spend an entire year suffering from extreme dry mouth - so much so that I needed to carry a water bottle constantly in a holster my wife made for me and sip every five minutes. As bad as that was, I would gladly have dry mouth again if I could swallow.

Al, if you go to the "Introduce Yourself" section and tell your story of your battle with cancer,More people will see you there and we can all give you a proper welcome to the boards.
