That is really good news Wendys. I was wondering how you felt and came thru the surgery. How does it feel to lick your lips? I am serious and not being funny. Without fingers, I would have food, if you can call this stuff food, running down my chin. LOL I'm glad for you.

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

Thanks everyone!

Well Jim, I can't exactly call it licking my lips....LOL, But I can kinda touch my lips with my tongue. This sounds stupid, but I think last week I realized the they must to cut almost 75% of my toungue off. Not only does it just barely touch my lips, what tongue is there is split right down the middle. Flap to Tongue. Some things are easier some things are harder. I don't know yet how it will fully turn out. I do know that I seem to bite the only part of my tongue that has feeling. So Yah! Thats where it is this week.
