Well I'm happy that I could provide some comic relief. To be clear though...I DON'T condone smoking marijuana....vaporize it, no carcinogens that way! Of course using it in brownies work too!

You may also want to have her TSH levels checked. The lab ranges are way off for many of us. If her TSH levels are higher than 3, IMO medication would help her depression
Since even state sanctioned medical marijuana, used safely with a vaporizer is still a federal criminal offense, I rely upon the protection of the 5th Amendment of the Constitution to simply state that in my experience, Eric's advice has worked for many oral cancer patients. I would love to get DEA approval and NIH funding to finish a study rigorous enough for OCF to publish on this subject.

Emily,

I'm not a medical expert...but as a cancer patient, I can tell you that it eased my pain, nausea and anxiety, improved my mood, made me hungry as well as made movies funnier then ever before.

As a stage 4 cancer patient that lossed half my face and almost my life...I figured it couldn't make me any worse off and would probably ease the road a bit, so what the hell. The only caution I would add is watch the insulin levels if she's diabetic as the munchies afterwords can really spike the blood sugar!

well she cant eat anyway so what the hell!

so you dont think the smoke/vapors from the vaporizer would be damaging or make the cancer more aggravated?

Neither Eric nor I are medical doctors, but we are brother fracks. What we do and what works for us may not work for everybody. Yet I have not seen any credible studies nor indication that vaporization (which by definition does not have "smoke", it's before combustion temperature) of cannabis has a proven carcinogenic effect. Neither Eric nor I have a suicide wish, death wish, but on the contrary a raging ZEST for LIFE.
It doesn't sound like this is a good fit for your caregiver situation and I can respect that.
Please do have her TSH levels checked.
