I saw my RO today and after the review of the latest set of CT scans he has declared me NED (No Evidence of Disease).

Tomorrow will be the 6-month anniversary of my finishing treatment. I was diagnosed in late August of 2009 so it has been a total of nine months since my life changed forever.

I will not say that this has been any kind of positive for me personally or that I have grown as a person. I was OK with the me that never had this disease and I'm still OK with me after fighting it.

I will say that I have had some very positive experiences during this time and that the most positive of those was finding this site and all of you here that have been so supportive. This site has been a refuge from the swirling world of confusion, fear, pain and doubt that has been a strange bedfellow in my life recently.

From the bottom of my heart I thank you all for just being here.

Hey Kelly...Congrats!!! Can you ever hope to hear any better news than being cancer free? I know what you mean about finding this site & I so agree! I never feel alone or afraid to ask (dumb) questions! All my best & grow stronger eveyday!

Wow, that sounds so good. I hope I hear those words soon. I finished treatment Jan. 22nd and had a PET scan that was "clear with activity in the mouth area." I am sooooo scared it is not all gone or will come back. But I, like you, would have been a basket case without this site to ask questions.
