Why the need for a scope? Reason I'm asking is that my Jim is going to an ENT Monday as he is extremely hoarse and has been for 3 weeks, plus his breathing is very labored. His PET came back this week as 2 very small tumors in his nec and 2 very small ones in his lungs, Dr. doesn't know the reason for the hoarseness/breathing, so is sending him to an ENT. Is it possible that his cancer has progressed in these areas without the PET detecting it???

Yoo many false positives there anyway and the scope has been done since 1996 after a Nissen Fundiplication.
