My white numbers have never returned to pre chemo numbers. My white count the past couple weeks have been 2.2, 1.9, and 2.4. The 1.9 one made me scared that something else was seriously wrong, my doc said not to worry.
The low white count is probably why you are feeling cold. Push the protein and iron rich foods and it will come up.

Joined: May 2002 Posts: 2,152 | Great news Angelia. Your white coubt is probably why you are freezing. Did they do the TSH also? If not, ask for that also on your next blood draw.

It's been a long and frustrating road for you - but you survived because you were a persistent advocate for yourself. How wonderful you are at this point now and can get on with recovery. Marginal mandibulectomy 6/17/08 resulted in DX of Stage I SCC - gingiva (3 mm) right mandible, buccal side. Clear margins. Occasional social drinker. Smoked last cigarette in 1979. Clear pet: 12/08; 7/20/09. Yay!

Clear at the 6 year mark!
Back to swimming, biking and running! just a tad slower
never regained my weight, even when I eat lots and lots, just a skinny guy now
Just way glad to be seeing the green side up!

I was wanting to schedule it next week, but my GI Dr. called me tonight and we talked about it and he said it would be better to wait until I find out what is going on with my teeth.
