That's what we call "walking out of that dark Tunnel".

Remember he will continue to have many bad days mixed in with some good days but slowly and I do mean slowly those bad days will go away. He will also be weak as a kitten possibly for months. It's very critical for him to pump those calories in now and at least for the next year. I tried to get 3000 down a day and I seemed to feel better when I did. There's a ton of repair going on both physical and mental.

Theresa, your posts make me laugh. That sense of humor has to be a huge help through this.
I'm so glad to hear that you are coming out of the tunnel.
Had to laugh at the calorie thing too.
Been nagging Dave since he needs to put on weight.
His appetite is really good but his mouth is sore from the biopsy. We are trying to come up with stuff that he can eat that doesn't hurt.

By the end of this will I need to join nagging anonymous???

So glad to hear Andy is starting to emerge from his tunnel. It's a wonderful moment when that happens. I remember Steve after treatment ended sitting out the back in the sun. He would be staring off into his own little world and nothing could get through what seemed like a trance. But one day I had the stereo on and Robbie Williams Rock DJ came on. I was standing at the back door, just watching Steve because I knew he loved this song. Then the moment came. He slowly turned his head and his thumb went up. He wanted me to turn it up. The trance was broken. That was the beginning of him emerging from his tunnel. A moment, memory I will never forget.

Thinking of you and Andy always. Glad he has finally given in with the calories. When are these men ever going to learn that we wives know better lol. They could save themselves so much nagging if they just did as they were told in the beginning smile
