You have not provided enough information for any of us to comment. Hard Palate what???? The hard palate is part of your mouth structure....so what is wrong with your hard palate? And please know that we can only guide you to what you need to do...we cannot diagnose what you have.
With more information about what is going on with your hard palate, we can perhaps suggest your next step.

Started smoking at the age of 18 and left smoking from January 2010.I am ulcer patient. Last month onwards i have burning sensation in my mouth near my upper gums and tongue. When i see in mirror i saw small bulging near my upper gums. I have slight cold for past one month. And i went to ENT specialist .After examining he said nothing is problem to you go and relax, they are due to ulcer. Take ulcer medicine properly. After that i took medicine properly. those burning sensation disappeared now.Its one week since i met ENT specialist last time. Yesterday onwards my left side of throat is getting pain while swallowing. What it could be. I cant hold my fear. My appointment with the specialist is on monday. Should i consult any other specialist immediately or Should i wait for two days to see whether those pain are normal. | | | | Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 396 Platinum Member (300+ posts) | Platinum Member (300+ posts) Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 396 | cancer SYMPTOMS are not painful...just the treatments to get rid of it. i would definately share your pains and concerns with the ENT. good luck and i hope ur pains go away soon.

Sometimes H&N cancers aren't painful, but in Bill's case, his pain was what led us to the doctors. I think that lymph involvement is usually not painful, but Bill's base of tongue tumor was very painful....and he has a high threshold.
IOW's everyone is different. Ear pain, for instance is a sign of H&N cancer.
Guru:
Two days will not make or break your diagnosis even if it is something serious. Take a few deep breaths and see what the doctors say on Monday.
